What's the story behind you not driving?

With horse power comes great responsibility.

I concluded long ago that I was naturally unqualified to helm two tonnes of locomotive metal. I traded being wopped for freedom of movement. I considered this a public service. If you'd known me, you would've agreed.

I didn't really want to be anybody's chauffeur either.

Now, not being wopped (or wanting to be), new avenues present themselves and I've set my sights on driving across America someday in the not so distant future. A man's gotta have a dream, innit.

Look at me, look at me. I'm all different.

I haven't had a cigarette for the guts of a fortnight and I feel fantastic for it.

I've saved myself something in the vicinity of 100 odd squids, which I will be re-directing towards driving lessons, which will commence early next week.

I don't even want a smoke and cannot foresee myself ever partaking of the evil weed ever again.

Job's a fucking goodun, kids. Woo hoo!!

How did you do it? Was it the decision, signed in stone, or nicotine pads?

I managed to quit without pads or anything. Just woke up one morning (well hadn't slept that night) and decided I wouldn't smoke again, after going through the pros and cons in my head.

It made logical sense to stop. But I hadn't been smoking for more than 2 years, and something like a pack every three days, or a pack a week, nothing ever really too much.
