I d/l 2 movies from Kazaalite. Usually, if i d/l from bt or mIRC it says in the filename if it is a SVCD or VCD or DVD. How can i tell which it is if i d/l from kazaa

If it's from Kazaa most likely it's neither because mostly .avi movies are spreaded on there and if u want ot know how to tell it will be in .mpg format SVCD will have better quality than a vcd as well from 2-3 discs it might be on and the standard resolution for SVCD is 480x480 and there are many other ways to tell too.

Yes, a .avi can be encoded to .mpeg and the process of encoding decides if it is VCD/SVCD u choose what u want it to be. Go here: The best Guides and read up on making vcd/svcd
