I didnt (I don't usually post only cause of my paltry to non-existant upload speeds). My week that I purchased is up now, but I may sign up for a week again as I need some HD stuff this week and I do not want to blow through my block account. I can try and post something if you would like, as long as it isn't to large. Is there something that I can post in particular? I imagine you are trying to test something?

Anything you could post would be fine, even a simple .txt file. Just want to find something posted through usenetnow so I can try and figure out who they are reselling

It's ran by the same people at http://www.blocknews.net

The rep for both is swintec. You can contact him via Instant message him on dslreports.

I've been trying UsenetNow for a few days and have been able to download stuff over 200 days old. I think the real retention is closer to 210-215 days but UsenetNow only claim 185 days. Just be on the safe side I think.

    Slyck UsenetNow

The quote above is not me, I use another provider.

They are reselling a company called readnews.com, never heard of them before personally. I signed up for a trial account and made a couple test posts to find out for myself. Anyone have any experience with readnews? According to their site they have been in business for a few years but I cant seem to find anyone else selling their service besides usenetnow.

Thanks for that information, just double checked that and you are right.

Readnews is quite a big usenet provider, mostly dealing with ISPs last time I checked. There have been quite a few readnews resellers over the past few years that i've known about but most of them have gone out of business. Only reseller that still exists (that I know of) other than usenetnow.net is usenetmonster.com

They both have good prices, if anyone needs a new usenet server you should look into them.

Glad you found what you were looking for! Saves me from having to figure out how to post as it has been so long and i don't think I have ever done so with the news readers (or better yet, News Leechers!) of today.

Did you mean Usenetnow has good prices? I just signed up for my 2nd week long account earlier this afternoon and all is going well. Looks like I will be hitting up the in-town Wi-Fi a lot this week to get what I need. I can't complain, the babes at the coffee shop are a hot number.

I saw that they mentioned serving isps as customers but I wonder how many are left? AT&T, Comcast, Road Runner, etc have all dropped usenet access over the child porn scare. So they must have a lot of international clients or smaller isp's that still want this for their users. And supposedly readnews hasn't sold individual accounts since 2008 but I stumbled across a page on their site that offered me one.
