Have you tried loading it in safe mode to see if it will load McNutter? If not then add ...

-safemode

... to the end of the shortcut for the game (it'll look something like "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe -safemode") and see if it load's then and if it does then it's most likely a game setting that's causing the problem.

You might want to go through the readme.rtf file and try out some of the other additional loading command's to see if any of those help :-)

If not, then this could, or could not (which is more than likely given i've not heard of anyone doing it before lol), help...

Try copying the DirectX files directly into the Halo folder so if it's having trouble finding them then it's got a better chance with them right in it's own folder lol

Safemode worked but it was windowed, looked like shit and had no sound. But that gave me an idea to try it in win 98 compatability mode. It works! But performance is piss poor. So Microsofts game has probs with Microsofts operating system - Nice. A lot of people have had the same problem so it aint just me. Thanks for the help lads. Now just need it to work without compatability mode...

Ok, your saying it worked in compatibility mode has given me an idea :-)

Uninstall the game, then copy the setup files to HD (it should install from HD no problem given it's already cracked, if not then just try this directly on the actual file on the CD (or in the image if your installing from CD image file)) and then select the "Setup.exe" file and choose to run that in Windows 98 compatibility mode and install that way, once done it might work without needing to select that option :-)

EDIT : I just had a thought!! It working in safemode with graphics but no sound could indicate that it's a audio driver/card problem and not a graphic's driver/card that's cuasing the problem, try running it normally (not in safemode) but with "-nosound" (minus the "'s) added and see if it work's then, if so then it mean's it is audio problem and not graphic.

I have trouble with almost every PC game (i'm used to the PSX controller lol), hence why I uploaded the trainer onto Suprnova :-)

I tried making one myself using a program I found, but the codes I managed to find would only work at specific section's of the game so I gave up and found the Pizzadox one instead lol :-)

I tried it with -nosound but it still refused to run. Also tried turning off all sound hardware acceleration but it did nout. God dam Micro$haft. It's pretty unplayable even in compatability mode. Plays like it's on a cheap ass card and not a clocked Radeon 9700. Thank fuck I didn't pay for it.
