So, Even if you didnt install the patch, then you cant play multiplayer, and if you install it then u cant play the game at all...

So, Guys what do we do, do we go and by the game???
Unless sum1 finds a fis for it, then we are screwed..lol

OK so it worked. How did you set up a direct IP game/server?

That was a nice little game. I&#39;m used to playing HL online so the movement seems very slow to me - like walking around everywhere instead of running. How where the pings and stuff lads?

EDIT: Super easy to set up. Just use the ingame menus. I also have the server patch of course.

EDIT EDIT: Why couldn&#39;t we talk ingame? It&#39;s a big problem not being able to swear at each other.

So what do I do, create a LAN game? I cant create an internet game without getting that crappy update prompt.

I applied the patch then replaced the exe with the server exe and it ran fine. It checked for the update, found it then setup the game.

The talking problem might be down to the patch&#39;s we are using.What patches are you 2 using?Public or private?

I use the private server patch. Never tried the public patch though.

I am using the private too.Will have to look into why we could not communicate as i like to swear and get gobby.
