ok every time i start my comuter up msn8 pops up b/c i get my awesome high speed 56k connection through them anyways i cant get it to close if you exit the program it just re-opens it IM SO FRIGGIN CONFUSED i tried to go into msconfig but it didnt help but ugh im so angry just like reply or pm me or something to help me out

I may be wrong on this, but try removing MSN from the startup folder.

No, it can be done. I have MSN 8 as well and it used to do the same thing to me. I fixed it but don't remember what I did.

I also have MSN as my ISP, I never install their lousey software, I just make connections in Dial Up Networking. Their software is almost always faulty and just ends up mucking up my system (not that it isn't mucked up enough) Maybe try Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel to get rid of it. I think Microshaft fixes most of it's software without an uninstall feature because no one would ever have it on their machine for more than a day.
Oh, and btw, MSN 9 comes out this winter I'm told...I know that's something I'm looking forward to. Another little silver coaster.

Start>Run>Msconfig
Disable it there too.
