i have been in gft for some time now,and i can explain it in a very short simple way-death torrents and porn.

Amen.. Isn't the Gft torrent ratio 3/4 porn or something like that?? I remember only downloading about 5 or 6 torrents my whole time there and 4 of them took hours to download.

FTN is way better than GFT.
I had joined GFT way back when they had application system, and were not P2I. Honestly, i have no fond memories of that place. The only thing i remember is that the forums and IRC were dead.
And yeah, the limited number of packs they had, they were seeded at 30kBps

The speeds are dependent on your connection...

For instance, on my box, GFT maxed it out on every torrent (100mbit), however at home, because of peering I need at least 4 seedbox seeders to max my line, which dosen't always happen at GFT (though the # of max users has doubled, which would fix this).

FTN has about 2x the number of users, so unless i'm grabbing something really random it'll max me right out ... hopefully an increace in GFT's userbase will fix the issue.

What's the point of downloading torrents from a sseedbox on a ratio-free tracker? I wanna download my torrents with my home connection so I could watch them, not just let them sit there on the seedbox
