I don't really know what you guys are talking about. Sure I haven't downloaded a lot from GFT, but what I have, has been on the site for some time. Sure it didn't max out my connection, but the donwload speed was 90-100 KB/s. That's not bad for a no ratio tracker imo.

Albo, you can't hate a tracker just cause one of the staffers doesn't like you and the feeling is mutual. Remember, a few short moths ago you were always going on about how great GFT is, how it's the next FTN, etc...
I'm back. The downside is that I'm also old now.

Martinator, this thread has a broader scope now.
Keeping up with the tradition , its not just confined to GFT, but has graduated to other trackers as well.

Yeah, I know, but I can't comment trackers where I'm not a member. I can only think that FTN is better for instance. What if one of the staffers there doesn't like Albo?

There is always some risk associated with being adventurous.
    Sad..but true.

It certainly looks like that at a few places.

Sorry I was at The Max Albo

There are so many users in the BT world yet only a few find themselves repeatedly in drama situations ...I don't get why since there isn't any need for interaction when downloading a torrent. At least back when I used DC (for those who know the APP, I was more inclined to chat) but when it comes to BT, you pretty much have to go out of your way to post in the forum section or log onto IRC (yes, I go out of my way). The same goes with FST, this thread was about new user classes (some people shit bricks, while others would rather save their enthusiasm for the arrival of Christ). In the end does GFT provide you with the TV shows and movies you actual want to download? These days users want more from a tracker, whether it be freeleech, contest, invites (to give to random strangers for no reason) and when they try to get more people active, like user classes, people shit on them. Also, some user called tophos a shit tracker because of its design (you probably also like fish sticks), I mean is this is what torrenting has come to; the layout/style sheet of a site? I mean I’m just using Albo’s ban list as an example but did he really need all those trackers to get exactly what he needed? Many users here probably have more then a hand full of trackers and many of them offer the same material, why not stick to a few, avoid drama, and just download rather then talk about downloading if all these trackers and staff piss you off?

Every BT user has a different personality. BT communities are a dimension which bring out your persona on the internet (whether you like it , or not. That is the price you pay for being 'involved' with the 'community' aspect.)

As far as Drama situations are concerned, there are loads of factors that come into play. As long as one abides by the rules of the trackers, all is well. But the moment someone tries to work 'around' them, things can take an ugly turn. (Depending on the degree of offense from the Staffers Frame of reference)
Another important factor is the tolerance of the staffers of the concerned tracker, and their willingness to be accommodating and forgiving. Most of the new tracker staffers are trigger happy, and as with people in RL, they lack patience in certain situations.

Personally, i respect the staffers who think before they act (Sexten is a very good example). But such staffers are going extinct, giving rise to power hungry breed, who wouldn't care about the outcome of using their powahs or privs.

Albo has been unfortunate enough to have created such situations, and been at the receiving end when they reciprocated.
Too bad..such things do happen. All one can do is learn and move on..
