    Hi, wondering if anyone can give me some pointers/advice etc. Gonna install a 2nd drive into my system, I think I now the mechanics of physically installing it but I ain&#39;t too sure about the formatting, partioning and the likes so any help would be much appreciated.

    use fdisk to partion the drive, then format. also make sure u set up the jumpers correctly, and set it up in bios, detect all drives

    What operating system do you currently have that you want to add this second harddrive?

    Connect the drive as a slave then boot up Windows and go to:

    Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk Management.

    You will see that you have all the tools to partition and format you drives right there. There are wizards and help to guide you.
