On-topic: this is the new sliced bread where I live. 30 Mbit is a total breakthrough. We're in the digital era and can finally download whatever we want at amaz- wait, there's a 250 GB cap slowing you to 6 Mbit when hit? And the monthly fee is a stickup? Fuckers.

Why is everyone sitting on a hard black floor in that ad? Is it the rape room?

They're selling "the Internet of the future", so it's got to look like Tron

The TV ad just shows people facebooking at high speed from similarly dimly-lit rooms. In two years we'll probably have this.

"It's just an online copy shop. They're sending a fax to a copy shop here in Newark."

They had the same understanding of the net as the Genesis game Shadowrun had @ 0:45

Apparently, in the future, it will take roughly :45 to make a long distance phone call, and involve solving a pyramid Rubic's cube.

Sweet! I want my number to be all blue side.

I dont find the internet much costly now, as before it costs a lot more than today

Internet is much cheaper in terms of speed vs. cost these days......1GB = $69.99 vs. 100mbps = $49.99 in the past

I don't miss the days of dial-up and $200 phone bills, nya...

I have the option of 1G, but chose 300mbit to save $20/month.

There are diminishing returns on higher speeds. Anything higher than a few hundred megabits is basically useless unless you live with many others or plan on reselling your access; what's the difference between grabbing a movie in two minutes vs. one?

Also, I personally value upload much more. A pipe that is 90% upload and 10% download, opposite to the usual but charged just the same, would be highly attractive.
