Based on a graphic novel but seriously nowadays what movie isn't .Great cast (Craig ,Ford,Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde).Director (Jon Favreau) kind of sucks but at least his fanboi stuff tends to be better than the rest of his crap (Swinger aside).
They left out the best part , the Apaches though.

The trailer looks awesome and Favreau has put out some solid movies. You've got an excellent cast, plus you have Speilberg and Howard producing. What's not to like?

maybe aliens where responsible for the industrial revolution?
Kubriks 2001 where knowledge is given to apes is pretty far fetched, but at least he made it feasible.
This on the other hand is something else.

I would have paid good money to see the pitching of this movie. How the hell can anyone see any potential in this shit.
On the Peripheral
It's a tried-and-true premise; just see some late-night science fiction. I'm not familiar with the comic and have never been impressed by 13 but it looks like a fun popcorn movie.
things are quiet until hitler decides he'd like to invade russia
so, he does
the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
the germans are like "wtf, h4x"
