we dont sell invites for $30.. what we are saying is those who help the site, deserve to be rewarded... the reason why we don't give every donator invites is cause we dont want sh*t users getting invites just to make dupe accounts... we will never sell invites... its simply a reward.... and there is over a 1000 torrents and i think its pritty good to say we been open less that 3 months..

Well that makes sense. It just seems that nobody "sells" invites. Every site that "offers" them as an extra through donation says the same thing.

Its just kind of a turn off imo but I'm just one guy so it doesn't really matter. I'm already in so it doesn't bother me. I wouldn't donate if they were $1.

The site does have potential and hopefully it gets big. It seems like there are a number of newer HD sites trying to find their place right now. At least this one is backed by some people who have been in the game for a while.

Supplying something in consideration of a payment is clearly a sale.

The price for an invite is way too high and I predict you will have to drop it if you want to reach your donation goals.

If anything, the invites would be dropped altogether - it's simply an additional "extra" you get for donating (and its not unusual for any torrent sites out there to offer the same thing), its not the only thing those users get an its far from being the main reward donators get. The site is not in a hurry to add new users, it was merely a suggestion from some users which have been implemented.

It was a strange decision - a new torrent site and you want money ... don`t you think that it`s too soon? There are a bunch of HD trackers, free sign up, everything just for free. I think that your politic is not good. It`s just my own opinion, nothing more.

we are not after money at all... its simply to benifit those who help the site nothing more... i dont see whats wrong with giving people extra for the donations the make to the site... if we were in it for the money which we aint since the owners pays the shortfall from his own pocket... dont u think we would put adverts on the site and ask users to donate to get rid of them... but as i say we are not... whats so wrong with giving our donators extra stuff and make them feel even more valued... because its ppl like them that HELP keep the site alive then there are ppl who just go round flaming ppl.... we dont care if ppl donate tbh we just ask them to seed to an acceptable level and not to break the site rules... we spent alot of time getting the site togther then for people like ya self... who prob dont run a site and dont relised how hard it is.. i find it insulting... i have said all i am gonna say.... and lets just drop this now.. please

But there is no "payment to become a member" its simply a reward for current members who are donating, since its only fair that those helping to pay for the site costs get some little extras (donating less that that also provides members with extras, an invite just isnt one of them) - we're not forcing anyone to donate, we're not in any hurry to get new members.

Giving people rewards for donating is pretty much the same everywhere, we're hardly begging for donations, simply informing users that the rewards for donating has been updated - as for being a new site and wanting money, its hardly a plee for money - if people think the site is good enough to donate, thats great, if not, as long as they're seeding and following the rules, thats great also.

It's hardly a big deal - all of a sudden because an invite is involved as one of the many rewards for donating, it now becomes a terrible thing?

I don't think "selling" invites is a big deal, or a problem at all for that matter. As long as people want to buy them and it keeps the tracker costs paid for, it's nothing anyone should complain about. In my opinion it's a better alternative tot rackers who routinely spam the users' inboxes with threats of shutting down if they don't get donations met. I'd say it's also much better than tracker's that give upload credit upon donation, because that screws up the ratio economy.

I wish all sites would just let you pay for access and pay for invites for friends or whatever. It works much better for me.

I only question the value of $30 placed on an invite. The reasoning provided either here or in the thread on site was that donors of nominal amounts should not be able to get invites and create dupe accounts is such a spurious argument that I have to question the decision making.

Any site operator can give donors whatever they like to make them feel special, but the way it was phrased was that you were offering invites to donors right after the statement that invites are in demand.

All that said, I haven't downloaded anything from the site so I'm sure I'll be pruned soon enough.
