Can I play a downloaded version online? I don't want to take the time to download a 1-gig game unless I can play it to it's fullest.

Just to clear somethin up for ya, it is not the version that dictates if it can be played on line, it is the CD-key, and if they are validated by the server. there is not diffrence in the version that you download from the retail.

I do not know if this one validates or not but someone will answer that for ya in a sec.

ya it does validate. U cant play it online. the single palyers suck unless u want to play against bots

yes it does work online...on suprnova they have ut2k3 with multiplayer patch
