  1. #1
    Hi,

I'm looking for a good lounge/lo-fi/chillout tracker. Can anybody point me in the direction of a good one(s)?

    Tnx.

    I get mine from what.cd
Most of the music trackers got ambiental: elektROnik, TT(pretty sure ), MT, filemp3, scenesound, waffles vipmusic. Now dont you think I m a member of them all...
I m not sure there's a dedicated tracker for ambiental music, but if you find one please let me know.
    Cheers

I agree with what.cd. Elektronik and TT are electronic/trance trackers, and they won't have any lounge lo-fi or chillout. Maybe chillout, I don't listen to that, but if it's what I think it is then it's def not on an electronic tracker. Filemp3 has jack shit, I wouldn't look there for anything.

irc interview. learn how to rip music in flac with EAC and then how to transcode it to v0. If you don't care for this kind of quality then I'm sure demonoid, isohunt, and slsk will take care of your music needs, and don't require the same effort as what.cd to seed back.

What elek TT are the best places to grab 'em.
Torrents.ru is another great alternative..the number of torrents they have in psy ambient downtempo categories is pretty high. Its definitely worth checking out.

Am I missing something? Lounge is 50's music like Esquivel, and is more like hotel music or jazz than anything else. Lo-fi is pretty much folk music that was recorded badly, whether on purpose or not. Those aren't even remotely similar to electronic music. I guess you can find chillout on TT and Elek? Had to google that and apparently its a catch-all term for electronic music. Some of the bands like Boards of Canada and AIR I'm sure you'd find everywhere, but I also see some House music labelled as chillout. Chillout sounds like an awful term cause ambient music and house music are hardly similar..

TrueSounds, these are examples of lounge music

Jen meets Kieser Velten - Together [ambient / lounge]

    Bliss - Don't look Back
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXYwZ7wQviY

    Bliss - Breathe

    Jakatta - One Fine Day

    Afterlife - Shine

    Tosca - Honey Lounge

The genres are viared, but related. Its all catalogged under Ambient/Chillout/Lo-Fi/Lounge and sometimes Electronica, for guys like Blue Six.
House is also related, in that everytime I see the first four referenced i also see a house album referenced. Its like Yin and Yang really.

From what I know "Lo-Fi" is stuff like Guided By Voices, Magnetic Fields, and Neutral Milk Hotel. Maybe it's used to describe electronica as well, I have no clue.
