i doubt it , its like a one time price not really sold by the month.

Tempted by this but also take into account the $11 deal per month maybe up by next year, although it has been rolling sometime. Difficult choice but I think I will take.

Usnetnow.net is trying to beat Astraweb, sort of, by offering a 6 months for $48 prepay special. So basically the same $8/mo deal that Astraweb has going.

It is almost as if there is a pricing war going on, huh?! I am not one to pre-pay for much of anything for 6 months, let alone a year. Those who do, good deal! Of course, those good with money will realize that the interest you can make off of the extra 48 bucks by having it in your account, or simply available to you, rather than in astrawebs hands for that extra 6 months, paying for only 6 months is actually a better deal!

Usenetnow resells readnews.com. The person that runs usenetnow is swintec who posts over in the filesharing forum of dslreports.com and is a pretty active user there. If you had any problems you should be able to get them resolved pretty quickly. I will say their pricing is pretty competitive and if I wasn't so happy with Astraweb I would definitely consider trying them out. They have a one week trial account so give that a shot and worse case you are out 5 bucks or so.

$6/mo paid yearly, $7 paid quarterly, $8 paid monthly

Sounds like the price war is just the beginning this is true madness!
