Has anyone ever heard of something called loht.exe? I started having problems with my computer today, and somehow I pressed Ctrl Alt Delete, and I saw loht running on my computer. I think it also came up on my ad watch program. Anyway, it is located in C:\Windows\Application Data folder. It was installed or modified yesterday at 4:39 am. I went to some websites to find some cracks I needed, I think at about that time. Could that program have come from one of those sites? I don't know what it is, so I'm afraid to delete it. It isn't a virus, cause I went to Trend Micro and scanned my computer. Can someone help?

Sure you spelled it right? Google doesn't have it. What system, win98? CAn you end the process? It won't delete it, it'll just stop whatever it's doing.

I will delete it but I was wondering what it was. BTW are there any crack sites that won't install stuff on your comp?

I'm using Windows 98 SE. I end the process but everytime I restart my computer which I think I've done for about 7 times today , it freezes up. I'm guessing its this program. And yea it loht.exe. I found something called Purify or such on my comp and got rid of it with Spy Sweeper. But this whatever it is wasn't detected by it or ad aware.

Nope I wish I did. That way I could pinpoint what this is.

@Shad0w Hacker I've gone to crack sites that do that. Sometimes on the bottom of Internet Explorer it will say "Installing cab009" etc. Maybe that could be it.
