Wow, some great memories of games on here, especially for the... um, more seasoned among us. The first video game I played was Pong, when it was installed in taverns. The "Pong machine" as we called it was large enough to serve as a drinking table. It cost 25 cents a game, and you could play while having a couple of draft beers and a pickled sausage. You looked down at the monitor, which was mounted horizontally deep below the glass table top. First real computer game was when I bought a Commodore 64 and the shop threw in a couple of free game cassettes - I went for Choplifter and Frogger. The C64 also had some demo game about running a lemonade stand where you bought supplies based on the weather forecast. My girlfriend and I loved to play that one for hours on end.
