Generally the content should be very good... but I guess it varies by campus. You should check if your campus has bandwith caps... If it does DC++ is a must.

Well I will on a quite a large campus so I guess it's worth a shot, but i just don't see how I would be able to get all my foreign films and music there,and not to mention child porn (jk, jk, lol) Also, I don't like the fact that there is no security and that other ppl would have access to my computer

I searched around a bit and I couldn't find whether or not it has bandwidth caps, so I guess I will have to find out . . . although my university seems like the type that would be pretty generous when it comes to bandwidth useage.

Yea if you're looking for really really obscure stuff though, than I guess you're stuck with torrent sites or google, but bandwith caps can put a solid dent in that.

Also, you're much less likely to get in trouble using DC++, but as since you're looking for relatively obscure content it might not be that big of a deal.

I was thinking about getting some blocknews, but as Rart mentioned, the "obscure content" might be a little difficult to find, solely on DC or usenet.

I'm considering investing in a cheap seedbox and downloading everything through there, including direct downloads, which I use most often. Too bad I cant post in the seedbox section yet. . .

That itshidden site looks a little sketchy to me. Isn't it only for web browsing? Even if it's possible to download it would probably be hella slow
