Thread: How Can I Go About Getting Nw Music

  1. #1
I want to go and find some new music, (Roc, Punk, Rap, Hiphop) But Kazzz is song by song, and Soulseek, well, you got to know of a album to look for. Is there a web site, that lists a lot of new music, like the styles above?

Something I do is scan the music magazines (Spin, Rolling Stone to name a couple) and other magizines like Maxim or Details. There are tons of reviews. Pick out a couple of albums that sound interesting and go get them. Its one of the best things about file sharing, in my opinion. You can try stuff out that you would never buy.

Or you can open the Sunday Paper and browse the Sales Advertisements of the stores which sell music. I usually find a few albums in there I had missed using the other resources listed above. They show what has just been released, what's coming up within the week and you may even be reminded of a few classics which are missing from your music collection.

Another benefit of looking trough the ads is you get to see how much the consumer is being taken for with the fuck!ng prices of CDs - it's still much too high, IMO.
