Well, it's a big filesharing forum (40,000 members&#33, so they probably noticed it somehow...
But no word for the mods or admins...
And Mr Sherman himself has posted in Musicworld (joke or not, still not sure...)

But it's been on for years now and no member has been sued or whatever. Probably because talking about files and having them on your computer are two different things...

So copyright this , Microsoft and others!

I don't have time to research the number of MS employees in the world at the moment but I'll assume just from the sheer size of the Redmond facility that the numbers are astronomic.
What are the chances of not one of them at least accidentally stumbling across this forum, never mind an intentional visit?

    You get the idea?

There are almost certainly a few RIAA employees paid to monitor this site.

They probably are looking for how we plan to destroy them or any evidence that WE are responsible for their website always being knocked offline or defaced by hackers.

Fortunately, those behind such acts (childish and basically ineffective that they be) aren't confessing/bragging about that here.

But I'll let this much be known, many are doing almost everything they can to destroy RIAA.

The RIAA is a hateful, monopolistic organization that's been convicted of extreme price-fixing on CDs and their behavior pratically describes the racketeering laws.
They not only falsely accuse people of copyright infringement (at least of THEIR copyrights...), they also don't apologize and even go so far as to tell them they will be specifically monitoring them in the future so they can get them with additional intent charges for 'eluding the law'... (in short, threating those who are innocent.)
They've been screwing the music artists over for years in ways that ARE illegal most places... except perhaps California... and have major control over everything you hear on the radio.
They've patted themselves on the back for almost totally destroying ALL internet radio, and are now out to make sure music sharing online either ceases to exist or becomes so 'illegal' that those caught doing it face serious jailtime (5+ years...)
They're adding all sorts of nasty 'copyprotection' to audio cds which will result in shorter CD drive lifespans and more audio CDs going bad due to minor scratches -- because the copyprotection leaves less room for correctable errors.
They wish to totally eliminate the concept of fair use, public domain (perpetual copyrights), PRIVACY, and freedom of the press (which your computers can be viewed as...)
To achieve their goals, they have and no doubt will use all sorts of underhanded, even illegal tactics to squeeze more money out of consumers still willing to 'do the right thing.'

But as for me, I have no desire to give money to such an organization even if it DOES make music artists suffer.

Filesharing music MP3s is just a way for us to throw this new government-supported 'tea' back into the harbor.

MS doesn't care. We are the best beta testers there are. We test security, durability, registration, etc.
It's like that for most mature software makers. An accepted part of the business. Sure they try to limit it to some degree and if you're caught reselling software you might face legal action but overall, they don't get too excited about it.
It's immature and threatened agencies that have a problem with us. Riaa for example. They feel threatened so they lash out. Even they know it's not in their best interest to stop all of us. A little scare and a trimming of the numbers is all they are really after. They want to bring it back into control just a little bit. Their methods just haven't been as well planned out as they should have been. But that's to be expected also with the number of immature people involved in filesharing. Get greedy and you blow it for everyone.
