Saying that something exists, like IP alerts among site owners, (and it does happen) and being an active participant are two very different things. Telling a drunk driver that the police are looking for drunk drivers is a long ways from, "If you leave the house, I will call the cops." And the second statement might even be seen as responsible by some. I certainly don't want drunk drivers on the road and I don't want belligerent, loud-mouth children running around in the sites I enjoy.

FWIW, had Duckater made the same posts to me that he did to OLegL (and I pray I am never THAT STUPID), I would not see his comments as threatening. If anything, Duckater was too patient with OLegL and spent too much time trying to calm him. I certainly don't (as you can probably tell from my posts in this thread) have any more patients or nice things to say to OLegL.

You bring this kind of negativity on yourself when you make posts like this. You will never get positive results with negativity.

But FST is the best place to create threads similar to this one.

FST is a great place to discuss issues. It is how you go about creating the discussion that makes all the difference.

Next time you have a problem, instead of making a negative post about someone who cannot defend their position (cowardly, BTW), why not post a topic about making a mends with trackers you have been banned on/or mods you have had a "spat" with.

You will get some good advice. Many people have been through the same thing as you. Some have been smart/tactful enough to actually remedy the problem. By creating this thread, you have burned all bridges behind you (with the site and its admins) AND you have burned bridges ahead of you by creating a bad reputation/image of yourself. I could not possible justify filling a [REQ] for you. I also could not justify mediating a situation for you.

What the Mod did to you was minimal to the damage you have done to yourself. Bottom line... not only did the mod defeat you (impose his will), but he has succeeded in letting you make things worse for yourself. If he is your "enemy" he is WAY ahead of you on points!

Okay, please give me one last chance. I know that a couple of days ago, I made a promise to you not to be negative, but broke that promise. Now I intend to keep my promise.

You may not realize it yet, but you do have a huge influence on how events unfold and what happens to you. It's always best to calm down (take a day or two, or until you can deal with a problem rationally- however long that takes) before taking any action.

Try to work things out with the other party. Do so responsibly and respectfully.

If it is impossible to come to an understanding, go to someone with greater authority. But if you failed to act responsibly and respectfully when dealing with the first person, you just gave them ammo for their position. Chances are, you will have a weaker position in the discussion with the supervisor because the supervisor has a working relationship with the subordinate. You are (especially in the BT world) not that significant. The mod is DONATING his time to the site. You are a guest- always remember this!

Good luck with your changes. It will take time and effort to mend relationships after an event like this. Make your future posts reflect this change and you can regain some of that trust. Do not expect immediate results.

OlegL I do not think you are a bad person at all just don't like the metods you have used in this thread. You could have reversed the topic and said who is the fairtest and best on the sites and then you could have possible found the best person to approach.
If it not work it would also show up who is possible the least liked as they would have least votes.

So a lot of things like this if worded the opposite way can also show who is the worst due to lack of votes then you not make your self look bad to people but good
