Jeff Loomis: He's so good, he doesn't need to be dead to have a tribute.
I thought house on haunted hill the remake was scary (the original had vincent price in it i think) anyway it was ok. I went to see it with two girls both over 18 one started crying and the other one hid under her coat fior the whole movie.

Kairo (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0286751/)
Since I saw it, I can't stop checking if my PC's off when I wake up!
I think after you've watched a few you're pretty much immune to them. I can't remember the last horror that I watched that even mildly disturbed me, but some of the earlier Evil Dead and Day of the Dead type films were OK, I suppose. More gore than suspense though really. What were those ones with the character Pinhead in them? You know, the one with the Chinese puzzle cube in and all that, where hell opens up and demons start torturing the person who owns the cube. The first one of those wasn't bad, from what I remember.
If you really want full effect from any horror, watch it with the lights out, at night, and sit with your back close to an open window. Sleep deprivation and drugs help too
um i dunno , havent really seem any scary movie much lately , blair witch project might be good
