Friends,

I followed the instructions provided by Coco (or whatever his handle is) and was finally able to download a playable version of the song. Now that I have previewed the song, I will immediately delete it and get my ass down to the store to plop down &#036;17.99 + tax for the same song in a less convenient format.

What surprised me about the whole thing, though, is that it was indeed the version with less bandwidth that was the good one. I would have thought the fake RIAA files would be less widespread, while the good ones would be common. This is bizarre, like natural selection in reverse, or the survival of the unfittest. People would better start checking the goddamn files they download or create before sharing or this is going to kill P2P.
