i have these folders under my program files and i dont even have a xerox printer or product installed or ever have. why are these files there and how can i delete them???

I think that those files are for your printer and printer drivers.
Do they bother you?

yea i dont want them, lol. and by the way i have a epson printer not a xerox

yea there is notihng inside of mine bu i cant delete it. it says that it is being used by anohter program

I believe that Xerox worked with Microsoft to integrate printer technology into Windows. Your printer manufacturer is not relevant.Originally posted by volskid2002@6 October 2003 - 19:38

I've noticed it before on my machine, & it's always been undeleteable...
It's actually quite a mystery. Microsoft says nothing about it at all in their Knowlege Base or website.
this was at Microsoft's Japan site, but it has since been moved or taken down. There's not mention on the US site at all.

The \xerox\nwwia folder from the XEROX Corporation way the WIA which is offered (the WindowsImage Acquisition) is prepared in order to utilize the (untranslated characters) of correspondence.
In addition, because it is the folder which is protected by the system, it is not possible to delete.
we've got an enigma on our hands.
I have those folders also. I wouldn't worry about it. They're not using any space.
