I bought a 16GB USB Drive for about £15. It's quality. I use 4GB of it as readyboost ram for my windies seven install.
I've also installed a brazzillion apps on it. M$ Office, Photieshop etc. Now, when I use someone else's PC, I leave no trace.

Check the transfer speeds if you can. My budget one from play.com is a bit on the slow side.
