I have a question about The Sims Online sys requirements
    Here are the reqs:

THE SIMS ONLINE™ / THE SIMS ONLINE CHARTER EDITION
    SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

OS: Windows XP (administrator accounts only)/ME/98 (Windows NT/2000/95 not supported)
CPU: 500 MHz Intel Pentium III or AMD Athlon processor
    RAM: 128 Mb
    CD/DVD-ROM Speed: 4x
Hard Drive Space: 1.6 Gb free hard disk space plus space for saved games, Windows swap-file and DirectX 8.1
Video: 2 MB video card with DirectX 7 compatible driver
Sound: DirectX 7 compatible sound card
    Input: Keyboard, Mouse
Internet Connection Speed: 28.8 Kbps or faster
Browser: Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher

    Where it says
    CD/DVD-ROM Speed: 4x
does that mean I need to have a DVD drive? or does it mean I can use either a CD drive, or a DVD drive? I only have a CD drive, I want to be sure if I will be able to play it before I buy it.

Alright, what I thought, just wanted to make sure, before I go blow my money on something I cannot use (which I have before once)

Just be aware that there's a monthly fee to play it, as well.

things are quiet until hitler decides he'd like to invade russia
    so, he does
the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
the germans are like "wtf, h4x"

I think you could've beta-ed it for free.

In general, if you want to play online games, you have to pay for them.
