I know this is sort of rude on my behalf coming in on this thread, without being an ex-wheeler. However, I was an ex-ScT'er and feel equally stranded. I keep hearing all these ex-wheelers talk about these incredibly high level place that they have moved to and I have no chance of getting into, and was just wondering if there's a place that's not so crazy hard to get into, but still homely enough/friendly enough to join, while being relatively easy to access.

If anyone wants to poke fun at me, go ahead, I couldn't care one bit. It's an honest question, and I'm hoping for an honest response, even though I know I posted it in the wrong place.
