The way things were done, yes... to a degree. There was a sense of anonymity, however a deep feeling of loyalty that brought people together there. For most, it wasn't just a tracker, but a place to commune (like many other forums about). If you were to close any forum down that had members lasting 4yrs or so, there definitely is a big void left. There will always be something else to give the time to, but doesn't mean its the same or that it will capture the atmosphere of a golden time passed.
