works for me but not him

hello people of the forum this is my first question so please go easy

i have burnt a copy of cod modern warfare 2 for myself and two friends it works fine on my console but on theres it says play dvd

all three consoles were modded within 2 weeks of each other with the same firmware i believe

ive been told that it could be because there are different drives in the xbox's and this could be the problem if this is the case then how do i find the one that will work for the other drives

i dont have a lot of knowledge regarding this subject at all (was sent away to be modded)and am stuck as to the cause of this problem keep reading about patching and updating but dont understand how it is done

Chances are you need to update the firmware on your drive to 1.61. Your friend probably has a Hitachi drive, which has no problem playing the current Wave 4 games
