Well in this case, if you want just the movie, no subs, then you'd be better of downloading from an entirely different site. It's logical.

Nobody has the right to complain about the trackers' decisions regarding foreign countries - anyone who does is clearly delusional.

That doesn't mean that people who don't know any nordic languages shouldn't use those trackers if they're able to. How many of those nordic DVDRs are without the original English tracks or without at least some subtitles? Very very few as it has been my experience.

So why not download a nordic release when you have distinct advantages from it (ie a clearly higher speed, no availability elsewhere, etc). I'm a member at SweBits and about once a week I find a movie that's not available anywhere else yet/anymore and I don't care much if I download DVDRs with custom subs, be it Bulgarian, Romanian or Slovenian. Those movies are far and in between but they make those foreign trackers worthwhile even to foreigners.

It means the tracker is abit more rarer then its current level however does not have the rarity to push it to the next level.

I've found it to be the other way around. A lot of indie movies very rarely get released on Swedvdr, but are easily found as non-Nordic releases. Except if they're Norsic movies of course.

And anyway it's a lie when people claim that all non-Nordic IPs get banned. It's simply not true. As I wrote in another thread there a so many people who doesn't care about the content but the prestige in just having it. I'm sick of listening to people complaining about how their whole world has fallen apart, talking about racism and such crap.

Well I can only speak for myself; when DB had opened their signups a few days ago I tried to register an account but before I got that far, their IP range ban interrupted me

It's not that I needed the tracker but I was interested in taking a look if the site was worth it.

You're right about the fact that not all foreign IPs are blocked too! But without a doubt, Swedvdr's actions don't look fair to many users and growing dissent is understandable. I am surprised about the use of insults of racial nature but when some trackers disabled all of Israel, those things happened too.

What should be done now is to remove those trackers from the WIAW list because it has no place there anymore for future foreign users. Every admin should be blessed not to find his tracker on this list anymore anyway, because it destroys all true value.
