Will this only affect music downloading? What about downloading other types of files, I persume this would mean the end of free filesharing.

No, I doubt it, Ike was solely referring to MP3s in his initial post. That's the only item worth downloading on KaZaA nowadays, aided with the lack of I.C.H., bogus files and objects that contribute to degraded performance. My advice, stick to Shareaza; it's as good as P2P can be.
First Napster now KMD , oh well never liked KMD anyways
lol i havnt used kazaa in 4 or 5 months
signature removed, check the boardrules.
Nice one!! Good to know we're safe !!Originally posted by Paul@10 October 2003 - 19:36
Kazaa Lite can act as a supernode too. As long as there are enough Kazaa Lite based supernodes, then the network as we know it will keep existing.
Kazaa Lite can't be forced to upgrade like can be done with Kazaa Media Desktop (remember version 2.0.0 to 2.0.2). That piece of code has been disabled by k++.
If kazaa lite does get booted off the main network, we will get a far clearer picture of how many users use kazaa lite.
half the people will be gone off the networkOriginally posted by junkyardking@11 October 2003 - 01:56

proud to be american
... and we would have a network without the KMD n00bs
sounds pretty sweet to me if you keep the link to this forum in the software we could have quite the filesharing "community" would be quite interesting.
Thats crap, they're using YOUR bandwith to sell songs on! Thats making you pay for something you are providing, if they did this they should do it on their own damn servers! They are using your hard disks your bandwith, and taking your money!!!
