Anyways, you bunch of lazy unemployed persons! I am currently at work; we're getting training for some new GUI thing that is going to replace all other platforms.

It's boring as fuck, as I won't be using it, or hardly ever anyway.
Fuck sake. In the mean time I still have customers waiting, as no one else in this town seems to speak Dutch. Pah.
The Doc programs I would be applying for are in the evening. My wife would be home from work at that time. I can also take the classes at my own pace (one at a time, or more). My wife is finished with school after her Master's.

I like to pretend that I am a lazy no-gooder, but my wife And I have put ourselves through undergrad degrees and now graduate school.

I think it is fun to play with the notion that it is better to be unemployed than it is to work, because work is sooo ingrained into our cultural fabric. People feel like they have lost their identities when they lose a job. The social pressure to work and be ever more productive is concerning. Or for me, worthy of a good chuckle. I tell my wife I am "value added".

    So lots of luck, basically.

    To each their own, though.
Good plan, you could probably get a sick line from your doctor.

agreed- remember kids, self harm isn't cool. It's just a bit emo...

i've think i've exhausted the hobbies route- i've taken up guitar, knitting, drawing, reading, watching tv (that counts...)but i refuse to re-organise my book shelf again. that was dire

There you go, plus, if you volunteer in a charity shop, you get first choice on all those cool vintage clothes that come in.
One of my friends managed to get her hands on a Gucci jacket, it was one of those ones with the big shoulder pads they used to do in the eighties, so it looks super fashionable right now!
