Is anyone of you using a Keyweb VPS? Directly from Keyweb, not from a Reseller.
People order direct from them all the time.
What is your question?
Is it secure to buy it direct from keyweb and then putting torrents on it?
^ No it isnt .. Get from Hosting IE if you wanna do that as it results in 3rd part Liabilty
I bought a VRS with Keyweb to test out the network. It was appauling, and I ended up not even paying for it.
As for hosting-ie, the owner cut and run months ago.
does anyone from here use them as seedbox,it's safe to use them on torrents (private trackers ofc)?
it's like on ovh, where they don't care about torrents?
I haved tested all the VRS offers and used one of them during more than 6 months on private trackers. So Keyweb doesn't seem to monitor their VRS to find and automatically ban P2P usages, like with Connectswitch.
I think Keyweb only do that when they receive complaints (so if you use public trackers or maybe download popular movies in CAM).
Another thing to know about VRS is the resources limit, especially HDD I/O and CPU power. Don't expect the same reactivity of a dedicated server if you rehash a big file for example. The admin panel shows when you cross the limits. If you do that too much and too many times the VRS is automatically stopped and you have to relaunch it manually.
I think it's better to take at least the Profi 09 or Business 09 offer to avoid these problems for a seedbox usage and use a light system for example Debian + rtorrent / rutorrent. Anyway I experimented many times 11MB/s DL speed on trackers like SCC :-)
Anothing thing : to terminate your subscription you have to notify it in advance by sending a scanned signed letter by email. I made it many times without no problems.
