I've used it in over ten builds now...it always works, it's relatively cheap and, in my own PC, it has overclocked very well.

Like most of my recommendations, the Patriot is based on personal experience.
This doesn't mean I don't like Corsair, just that I've never used it myself.
My buddy Eric likes the OCZ that he has (sorry, no clue about specifics), so I would recommend it with a caveat.

I was playing around with Sis Sandra and CPUz to read my memory clock speed and was a little confused why mine reads 800 MHz not 1066 ?

Found a interesting thread on memory tho ,called memory assessment speed using CMD prompt .

You most likely have to set it to 1066 and up the voltage to 2.1 I had to do this with all my Gskill memory on my gigabyte boards (3 sets of each)

I'm looking at these three (unless someone has another suggestion)

    Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 4GB

    CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB

    or
    OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB

    Opinions at all?
I'd say the OCZ myself, I have those exact same sticks and they've been very sound with quite a hefty overclock.

I tried the ram 1066 setting and the voltage but " Blue Screen " was what I got . Its not a biggie ,was just playing around .Thank god I write down what changes I made to Bios settings .

Thinking my mobo may not support changes ? Funny tho as I found a site that was Asus specific . Running Win7 64 and quite happy but bumped memory to 8 gb and maybe thought I'd see some earth shattering improvement . Hey all is good but why not fart around ?

I think the biggest bang-per-dollar improvement will come not from running slightly faster RAM but from speeding up the storage- specifically the hard drive access time, which means solid state.

I too run 8GB and can't see much- if any- difference when the CPU and RAM are overclocked compared to the bump when run in RAID0 or on my SSD.
It's nice to have that much memory since it means you can eliminate RAM from consideration...and memory has been so cheap there was no reason not to go nuts.

Beyond a certain point though, RAM quantity- and even quality- ceases to be a bottleneck and one must look elsewhere for improvements that can actually be noticed.
I think storage access time is that metric.

You hit the nail on the head , Clocker . I see that under Windows Experience Index , I have 7.1 To 7.6 scores but Disk Data transfer rate is only 5.8 bringing down my score .
