I've got a 7.6 on hd performance, with two striped ssds, and not slow ones either.

I'm a bit surprised my hd performance isn't maxed out, but I guess it might be the storage drive bringing it down. Either way, if you get one or two, feel free to tell me your score. I was thinking maybe I need to tweak something.

I tried the ram 1066 setting and the voltage but " Blue Screen " was what I got . Its not a biggie ,was just playing around .Thank god I write down what changes I made to Bios settings .

Thinking my mobo may not support changes ? Funny tho as I found a site that was Asus specific . Running Win7 64 and quite happy but bumped memory to 8 gb and maybe thought I'd see some earth shattering improvement . Hey all is good but why not fart around ?

Great link man. Did you try 2.1 and 2.2 voltage on your ram? Also did you manually set the timings to 5-5-5-18? Usually if you can change your settings it means your board will support it. What board do you have?

Snee what SSD's do you have? I think I'm going to wait until after Xmas to get one, maybe 2

    Wow, I want.

I think it's likely that MS adjusted the scoring algorithm to allow for advances in hardware. When first introduced in Vista, it was possible to max out the Experience Index with current hardware, so when new stuff came out there was nowhere to go with the score.

OK so then did you try both 2.1 and 2.2 voltages when you set it to 1066?

Thats cool man. i'm holding off on new ram for a bit as I don't "need" it really it was an aesthetic thing and I'm fighting the urge.

I don't see why G-skill 1000 ram is so hideous that you'd need to swap it out for something else.
