clocker, did you use those ramsinks for anything yet?
Six, they're not hideous I just wanted them to look snappy in my new build because it's black/white themed. (which has been on hold for a godamn week now due to various reasons)

LOL, na man. I just love to see what you do with stuff like that. In case you didn't know you're like my idol.![]()
A difficult burden to bear...I am unworthy.
Not unappreciative mind you, just unworthy.

As I said I'm going to hold off. I am going to be using the Corsair Ram cooler so you can't even really see them much and to get 8 gigs it'll be about $200 not a huge deal but now these damn SSD clerics have me thinking about getting 2 of those to raid. so the $200 would go towards that then.
Any advice on a SSD at all anyone?
A pair of Corsair X32s. I got them to use just for my OS, the idea was to get a pair of striped velociraptors for games, but I ended up using a greenpower WD 1TB drive, whilst waiting for single platter WD Blacks to hit the market. There's no real logic behind that, except that I really like doing raid arrays of different kinds.
If I was getting some SSDs now I'd get X128s or P64s, though. The P-series are all the same speed, whereas the sub-128GB X-series are somewhat slower. (The X32s have the indilinx controller though, whichshouldmay mean the performance degradation is slower, and they will have TRIM support with a future firmware update.)
I like Corsair, me, that's the real motivation behind getting those drives in particular.
EDit: (You may wanna check out the latest Intel drives as well.) And look at this. It's a few months old, but may be worth a read.
