    I use chatzilla whenever I need to use IRC for some specific purpose. fucking hate IRC.

    i'm not really into IRC either but when I have to I use the free client ICEChat

    Using Linkinus, best option on OS X. It's okay, but it annoys me too. Though it does have nice features, like showing youtube vids, pics, when someone posts them in chat. Xchat is my fav on linux, windows, and Konversation on linux was just as good too.
