It wasn't cynicism J2, it was the continued misuse of the word "treason," and the overuse of the word "McCarthyism." The 8 Mile reference just pushed it over.
Was a pretty good program on Richard I. Not really the hero he's made out to be. But he's loved for it, anyway.

the russians fall back, all the way to moscow

I don't remember much about the book, or any book I've read actually, but I do remember it made me laugh out loud.
Stranger in a Strange Land is still, in my opinion, one of the best works of fiction ever.
