he's out of his mind. my 2.4 is @ 2.6
that's it for now

well i got a nice boost almost 10 000 more point only for changig to the omega driver
http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_vie...nID=1524665151
now i have 324 of core and 283.5 of memory what can be resonable value of how much i can higer them... should i augment all those by the same % like 10% more for each or is there one that we can augment more than the other
anywais tanks fool... i alwais imagined that overcloaking impleyed doing modification to the actuall hardware rather than driver / software

memory speed should go higher than core speed - the way i o/c my card was take the memory speed as high as it could go then the core after

yup i OC'ed my card its just a 5200 and i raised each by 10 MHz and it runs fine. but the memory runs faster for a reason if you dont keep them at the same ratio your only cutting performance before you freely oc you should look up people who have OC'ed 9800's on review sites like tomshardware or hardocp.com

well strait out of the box here's the score ... there's definitively room for improvement

so im out of my mind for pushin my athlon xp 3000 from 2.1567ghz to 2.6ghz? and im also crazy for pushin the core up by 200 and my memory speed up by 150 on my radeon 9800 pro? temps are pretty cold. the athlon is at 35 idle, and 40 full load, and the radeon is about 28 idle and 35 full load. as long as your temp is decently cool, overclocking is awsome. im living proof. enjoy your radeon also, its the like the best gfx card is the world!

hmm i have a default value of 324 for core and 284 for memory ?? unless the integrated oveclocker / tweaker in omega driver set mix up the memory and core column
you should look up people who have OC'ed 9800's on review sites like tomshardware or hardocp.com
i am dumb or cant i find anything about that ... i'm lost under page of news / review but no such thing as step by step instruction nor recomanded values

Okay, Phenonix, I take that back, you aren't full of it.
However, that is a poor score for your card. I am sure that you probably have way too many services running. Have you ever been to www.blackviper.com?
I scored 37,000 with a Radeon 9500 non pro mod to pro. Your score, for your CPU and gfx card totally sucks. Let me ask you this: have you reformatted your hard drive since you got your computer from Dell? Oh, and how much did pay for your system.
But thank for posting your score, as it consequently listed your specs. Welcome to hardwareworld. B)

Sorry Phenoix, I did not see that score. Much better. You see that that score is what I get maxed out on my card.
Download Rage3d tweak
It is a freeware. It has an overclocking utilt built in. So does the Omega driver set.
read this whole article too
and follow this free guide (read the whole thing) to tweak your system to the max
Oh, and be careful with overclocking your memory. You can be much more liberal with your core clock speeds.
an example of a safe overclock
read this article too
. The memory clock was almost locked at 370 Mhz as I could not achieve anything higher than 370, but the core clock speed was the most surprising of all, able to run at 472 Mhz without a problem, an increase of 92 Mhz!
With our card running at 472/370, we were able to increase our score 792 3dmarks all the way up to 6175! A very very impressive overclock, especially when coupled with the fact that we were using stock cooling and there were no ramsinks on the card.
make sure that you disable vertical sync!

Then i read another topic about the new ATI cataclysm 3.8... i remember to have seen a screen about that when i installed the new ati driver
while a cataclysm is "a momentous and violent event marked by overwhelming upheaval and demolition" (Webster's Dictionary)
