Is there a programme in Microsoft office, or is there a way in Paint to crop images?

In Paint if you select an area, I think on the edit menu there is a "Copy To" option to save the selected area to a new .bmp file.
office 97 & office XP had MS Photo Editor, but that's been replaced with the simpler MS Picture Manager in office 2003 & office 2007. seems that MS has given up on trying to compete with adobe, corel, etc's photo progs.
Picture Manager should be able to adequately handle basic image edits like resize, crop & compress if you've got it, though. if you don't have Picture Manager, try downloading GIMP (free image edit prog).

Someone who is at a work computer and only has Paint available...
If you're on XP, Paint can also save images as JPEG, GIF, TIFF and PNG.
