I Dont Want To Try a BETA But For Those Who Do Its Out

Well here he is the latest Service Pack 2 for Windows XP. The file is 152MB in size and has been confirmed not to be fake - it is really Build 1213.

Note: This is a leaked beta, so not supported by Microsoft.

The only place I'm aware of are ftp://download.hirekmedia.hu/xpsp2-1224.exe ftp://ftp.cableinet.net/incoming/xpsp2/xpsp2-1224.exe
http://filez.techconnect.nl/xpsp2-1224.exe and are not supported by MS. They haven't officially announced it. Read before u dl/install.

can anyone tell what language this link is in? (thought it was russian) what does this topic say?

Για μην εμφανίζεται το "Windows XP Service Pack 2 for testing purposes only κλπ κλπ" πρέπει να επεμβεις στο μητρώο. Πρόσεξε μην κάνεις κάποιο λάθος στις παρακάτω οδηγίες. Επίσης πριν τις εφαρμόσεις κράτα ένα back-up των κλειδιών που θα πειράξεις.

Πήγαινε στο μητρώο, στο
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\CA\Certificates\

βρες το κλειδί: FEE449EE0E3965A5246F000E87FDE2A065FD89D4

και σβήσε το τελείως.

Επίσης στο:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\ROOT\Certificates\

σβήσε το κλειδί:

2BD63D28D7BCD0E251195AEB519243C13142EBC3

Κάνε ένα restart των Windows και το "for testing purposes only" από το desktop θα έχει φύγει

I think this is pre-Alpha. IMO people should stop posting here about alpha or prealphas. It's dangerous to the n00bs.
