Thread: ReConnect for Windows 7

  1. #1
    I have recently upgraded my PC to Win 7

    it works like a charm (have been using Win 7 on my laptop from 2 months..)

    but unfortunately ,(i have 1.5,which worked perfectly on my XP)

    ReConnect 1.5 doesnot support Win 7 platform

    cud sm1 tell me whether there is a version of ReConnect available for Win 7

    if not what other application cud I use for the same purpose (automatically dialing the connect button for internet)

    thanx

    The only reason I remember using ReConnect to "dial" to SecureIX back in the days was its nicer UI... but if I remember correctly, Windows RAS interface already offers an option to reconnect when interrupted. You should be able to find it in your connection's properties.

    @anon-sbi

    I shud clarify here that I am not using solely using ReConnect to redial if a disconnection occurs...

    but primarily I intend to use it to automatically dial a connection on startup

    I already know about the option in Windows to configure a redial on a user specified interval

    I think you can put a shortcut to RASDIAL.EXE with the necessary parameters on the StartUp folder, then.
