audio from rared mkv video file

I'm curious to how exactly the audio file is stored in a multi rar archive of a movie. For example, if I want an audio track from a movie that is only available through rapidshit, is possible for me to download only a few select archives and demux the entire audio? I tried only dl the first part file of a movie and it gave me 30sec video and 2min audio, so it appears as if I would have to download most of the archives???
