But I will say this, FSC is a great place. This reqruitment is strange, though. I'm guessing it really was made to weed out those who are just looking for a trophy (a few of the questions led me to believe that).

Yet the manner of creating a "mystery" giveaway points toward the opposite: Since no one knows what content the tracker orients itself towards, a larger majority of the users will ultimately, be those who are just looking for trophies.

Then again, now that the cat's out of the bag and we know what tracker it is, maybe it won't be as much of a problem.

I just want an invite to a tracker where the staff aren't arrogant and twisted by a sense of their own self importance. The attitude in this thread is an embarrassment.

Are there any trackers with non-obnoxious staff? I will jump through hoops to apply for an invite to a tracker like that.

Personally, I think that (most) staff in trackers are perfectly fine, reasonable, and friendly people. You don't get into that kind of position in a tracker without consistently making level headed choices. It's the horror stories and outcries of the few who feel that they were "unjustly" banned, then cry to forums like FST while horribly maligning the story in their favor that consistently defame tracker staff. I have respect for what most staff have to go through everyday, but that doesn't mean I should be afraid of posting my own opinion.

I haven't been banned off any tracker but I did used to be a member of bitmetv. One of the moderators there played (what I consider) a dirty trick which was very disappointing, so I let the account go inactive. It is not really a big deal. I let accounts go inactive from time to time. Sometimes I regret it but I think it is selfish to keep an account just on the off chance it might become useful to me in the future, so I let them go inactive. I think it is better to make room for someone else who might use it more right from the start.

So am I fsc material? I dunno, I was having fun with the pompous nature of the original post (inform other trackers my arsehole!) it seemed prickish but I read later in the thread that his heart is in the right place so maybe he just comes across badly but is a decent guy.

I agree with you, about not getting into that kind of position without making level headed choices - at least up until that point - sometimes though, sometimes people get in that position it brings the worst out of them.

Fatcat is giving out a great "torrent" site.. Respect to ya that u come here and giving out invites! But man your giveaway rules, spoilers etc sucks...You know that 50% of ppl are traders and would trade for nothing FSC.. Why cant anyone say that the community is great? the site is nothing more than a small community with readable forums and some good packs.. If you dont trust the dudes here then go somewere else and giveaway the damn invites of your "oldest" tracker. Be more kind next time if you want to giveaway something because u r nothin else than a staff. Tomorrow may ill giveaway my fsc acc for free cause u made me so pissed off! Be aware ppl

Its a tracker with one of the best reputations on the net, has scene stuff just as fast as scc/sct, has p2p encodes just as fast as the groups release them on tl/hdbits. Pretty much has it all. However it is mainly known for its unique community offerings that no other trackers have ;-) Numerous staff members of other trackers are extremely active members at it, irc is fairly active, and it is the oldest private tracker in existence."
