    I'm looking to test out the new 4.0 beta 2 firmware for the iphone but it requires a developer account to download/install it on the iphone.

    I've read that you can't even install the beta on a system running windows..it must be done on a mac?

    Yup, but like I said they're useless cause you can't install it on your iphone unless it's registered with an Apple developer account...and apparently you need a frigging mac to install the bloody thing
