friend just told me about this. can't believe this wasn't mentioned here, but it will be now.

i liked it. it's not as good as band of brothers mind you, but it has it's moments. what i find the best part of this mini-series is the dialog. lol, oh how i remember talking with my fellow section in such a demeanor.

    IMDb summary:

A Rolling Stone reporter, embedded with The 1st Recon Marines chronicles his experiences during the first wave of the American-led assault on Baghdad in 2003.

it's pretty enjoyable if u like military shows.

also, the ppl who brought u band of brothers is making a new mini-series THIS year entitled, "The Pacific." can't wait for that!!!!

I read about this uh...miniseries? Never seen it though. Sadly, 2/3rds of the people I know that enlisted didn't... I'm not sure how to describe it. Emerge unbroken? Granted this clip doesn't necessarily reflect realtity.

Edit #2: Course I posted before the clip was finished

things are quiet until hitler decides he'd like to invade russia
    so, he does
the russians are like "OMG WTF D00DZ, STOP TKING"
and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
the germans are like "wtf, h4x"

Great series. I checked it out because it was made by the same guy who made The Wire. Watched one episode in the morning and by the end of the day I had watched every episode back to back. That's something I never do.

Yes I like to watch this and Dexter while sharing some Jack Daniels with the young ones.
    Respect my lack of authority.
