What p2p software these days has the biggest network of files or most peers/users? Even the most rarest files. I find that emule has the best for files that you cant find anywhere else. Any suggestions?
Gnutella (Bearshare,Limewire)
ed2k (eMule)
DC hubs (DC++)
Usenet (Newsleecher, Alt.binz)
Soulseek
BitTorrent (uTorrent, Vuze, Transmission)
FTP (FlashFXP, Filezilla)
One Click Hosts (Rapidshare, Megaupload)

I'm a torrent freak so I guess I'll choose Vuze from the list. But I also use eMule (for the reasons you mentioned) and even Ares from time to time.

I'll change the poll a bit to reflect the protocols involved.
Usenet is not quite P2P, though someone has to upload for the other ones to download.

Without doubt Private Scene & RAR Hubs via AirDC 2.06 with TLS Ciphering enabled.
Soulseek and DDL for music.
about me: I'm using usenet 90% of the times, torrents 9% and one click hosts 1%.
If you know where to look, you can find everything on bitTorrent

This topic will undoubtedly be skewed towards BitTorrent.
I voted BT as the question whats the best P2P these days and of course that is bit torrent.
DC hubs (DC++) was a very good source of stuff years ago 2003, still some around.
ftp still the best way to go.
It seems bittorrent is all the rage right now. I usenet. I don't like Rapidshare after trying it out to download a movie I was really after (still haven't watched it).
