yea, i clicked yes on that confirm window.. then i clicked apply.
i ran an aquamark test.. the results showed the original speeds.. not my overclocked ones. I'm guessing i need Warp11's ATi Radeon 9500 Pro Beta BIOS. It says Beta though.. i am scared of that word when it comes to bios or drivers.

Okay, I can see your concern, so here is my suggestion for you--download the omega driver set here

When you run the install, tell it to install the 9500 pro "hacked" driver. What that will do (should do) is enable you to overclock your card.

Keep us updated. B)
ok, but i wish it had VPU recover.. that'd help if the comp Tryed to restart on me.[/b][/quote]
It does! Included is the entire ATI control panel too. You will be a lot happier, there are also some other tools included, but they are your option when you install them, like Radclock (which personally I dont really like compared to the overclclocker in Rage3d tweak).

JUST MAKE SURE TO UNINSTALL THE ATI CONTROL PANEL FIRST!

And also run driver cleaner too!

Yea i did those both.
I just did about 6 benchmarks. I'm at 372mhz core right now.. no artifacts. (my max limit is gonna be 400mhz, but i'm gonna start goin 1-3mhz at a time to be safe)
btw noticed alot windows and stuff open like Really faster too.

Alright check these out:

Old Aquamark Score before overclock: http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_vie...nID=1492313201

New Aquamark Score after overclock: http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_vie...nID=1654436915

Old: 24810
New: 27082

Yea, i stopped at CM: 378 / 276 MHz because when i did a benchmark at 386 / 283 my moniter went off so i turned the computer off and let it cool.

The computer has been on for a couple of days without standby also.. lol i'm really riskin there

Notice my GFX on the new one is allmost the same as my CPU.
If i had a 3.0ghz cpu and 1gb ram, we could just see what mobos are faster.

Hey, my Maximal Triangles per Second is higher than yours for some reason as i was lookin carefully: (you can look also)

Mine: 29026165
Yours: 28023904

must be because of the 9500 pro.

also, my Minimal Frames per Second is about the very same.
I'm gonna look into gettin a faster amd cpu cause my current mobo is very new, so upgradeing will be easy.

hehe, my school has these 1.8ghz dells that run extremely slow for some reason. damn script kiddies make the school all waste theyre money.

Wow! That is a pretty nice improvement, but I have one suggestion for you: I think the best and most stable settings for our particular cards 350 on the core and around 290 on the memory. That should get you the best performance without any image problems.

If you noticed in the properties of your card Windows XP thinks that you have a 9700 pro. That is why you are running so well.

If I were you I would not overclock much over 350 MHz (core) for more than an hour. However, you could definately be stable at 330 MHz core and 290 MHz mem for several hours no problem. That is my experience.

So --what do you think of Omega's little optimizations?

Like em?

Oh, yeah, I forgot! Don't forget and check the compatibility tabs in Open GL and Direct 3d because you need to make sure that "direct x textures" tab is selected. And don't forget to check the open GL compatibility tab and try different settings with triple buffering and 24 bit buffer.

BTW, when are you going to get a better CPU? A Barton 2500+ would definatlely improve your graphics! Is that compatible with your motherboard? It's 85 bucks. Cant you scrape that together?

I am sure with a better CPU (not to mention some more ram) your score would kick mine!

256 mb definately limits your score!

Wolfmight, are you comparing: This score

with

this score?

Apparently the only reason I am scoring higher than you is due to my CPU and physical ram. I actually have 2 128 mb 400MHz sticks that I don't use. If you want them, I can send them to you and you can pay me later ($30 for both?) I trust you and you don't have to pay me right away. They should run fine at a lower speed. However, they are CL3 sticks. Just PM me if you want them. Don't worry--I wont take it personally if you don't them...lol.

That is apparent throught the CPU scores. Keep in mind my card is virtually exactly the same card as yours--I just activated the 4 idle pixel pipelines by using the "hacked driver" that is in the Omega set. (Oh, and I paid only $140 US) ( )

I've heard alot of people useing the 9500 pro at 400mhz core. (only lasts like 30 mins though lol)
Does your 9500 nonpro have that Extra Power cable connection that it needs in order to run? If not, those 4 extra pixel pipelines might not be running as fast as they should be maybe. I'm not sure.

Do you know that 400 MHz core = 800 MHz DDR?

Nope, dude...I am chilling at 350 MHz core and 290 MHz memory. That is the speed my card really likes. I can feel it.

Yea, These graphics cards run like CPUs. Can u help me find some info on how to fix my Tv Wonder Ve? http://www.klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showtopic=75127
I'd appreciate it very much.. no one seems to know much about them here

No I really do not know much about them...but you would very likely find your answer at the www.xbitlabs.com forums. They are a very wise bunch when it comes to computer hardware. They generally respond very quickly (BTW that is where I asked about which card to get and they pointed me in the direction of the 9500 non pro and then proceeded to point me in the direction of the mod to pro, which could not have worked out better).

The point: go register in their forum and ask your question. I bet you they know what to do. Go ask in the general hardware forum; that is where the most of them look. B)
