I can use BT for about 10 mins then it feezes up and stops downloading/uploading
I have tried reinstalling it several times and I have tried different versions of it and they all do the same thing, just started happening a few days ago.
    thanks for any help.

It could have to do with what "max connections" you are set to. A similar occurrence has happened to several users. If you're connecting to too many different people, your system won't be able to handle it, hence the program will simply freeze up. Try reducing your max connections so something under 20.

I set the max connections to 60 and it solved the problem.

I'm going out on a limb here and guessing your using either Window's 98 or ME? If so then that's why changing the max connection's fixed the problem as those OS's are crap at dealing with lot's of connection's, which is, I think, the reason the option was added into the BitTorrent client to reduce the number of maximum connection's :-)

Glad you got it fixed :-)
