I want to reduce my cpu fan speed, my cpu, an AMD duron 1ghz keeps being 55°Celcius, with normal activity (runuing KLite, internet browser, e-Mule NAV & NPF).

So until which CPU temperature should I stop decrease my fan speed?

(I often play games like GTA vice-city & wolfenstein, & watch movies with VideoLan.)

Gee thats a bit high I have an Intel and at this very moment it 25 °Celcius

But the more I work it the more it goes up which is normal get a fan with controllor on it some go in the backpain with a small knob which you turn and the "speed goes down, problem with this is your temp goes up !!! I would get the biggest that would fit and one with a low DB say 26/28 that will make it quiet and cooler.

Another option is to fit case fans and if possible one blowing over the processor like I have just rig a bar up then fit it to it I use one of the backpane screws to keep the bar in place.

Here will give you a clue to what I mean http://www.akasa.co.uk/

I've done already the two things you're talking about. B)
    I have a 19 DB, 8 centimeter fan,& I can decrease until 11DB, that's why I was asking.

So I guess I have to set it to 70°Celcius or something? Isn't it?

But please be sure! I don't wanna blow up my computer

If you have already upgraded your heatsink and fan then you should look into adding some case fans. If the temp in your case is high then even the most efficient heatsink will be hard pressed to exchange it's load into the case.

I've been experimenting with my setup and the most improvement came by adding a fan in the top of the case. Most mod sites call this a "blowhole" and it made a difference of about 5C in my CPU temp...

    Indeed, I understand.

One way of achieving that goal is to add MORE fans but to run them at a lower speed.
Also to optimise the flow of air through the case.
Think about it...hot air rises. Exhaust that air from the top of the case and you will cool everything more efficiently. At a lower ( hence quieter) fan speed.
